Ireland's TV People have today shared their melodic new tune, "Rain". The track is the outfit's first since their "Feel" single that came out in September of last year, but this track could be the cut that'll get them the wider attention they deserve.
... it's clearly a huge step forward for the Dublin-based duo.
Vocally it's incredibly strong here with melodic tones throughout that'll get any post-punk fan swooning over the sound before them. The wave of guitars that hits you reminded me especially of Joy Division and The Cure, but it's after the first chorus that this track truly comes to life.
The steady build-up to the crescendo is beyond amazing, the track becomes cinematic and still before bursting back into life. After the midway point, it becomes a whole new beast with the addition of some synthesizer keys.
Having found their way into Spotify's "Hot New Bands" editorial playlist and being selected for placement in Made in Chelsea it's clearly a huge step forward for the Dublin-based duo.
