Brighton-based Elandra are back with their new single, "Maybe One More Time", with it being their first release since the 2022 single, "Familiar Home". Released today the track is a delight on the ears, as it opens with a smooth piano tone before going all synthy on us with plenty of fuzz drizzled on top.
... synthy with plenty of fuzz drizzled on top.
Once the vocals come rolling by the track goes down to more of a stripped-back affair, before having those rich synths built up again. The vocals on this remind me a lot of one of their main influences, Tame Impala, and with the somewhat psychedelic sounds swirling around that's actually a fair comparison as they do also lean towards that genre.
The breakdown in the final minute is lovely too, a strong guitar tone ends it all which in turn gives the listener plenty of reasons to head into their other tracks.
