Midnight Prisms has recently returned with their new single, "Spin Me Again", with it being their first since the 2022 album "Astrology Songs" came out. The act is the solo project of Alicia Beck who's a multi-instrumentalist based out of California, USA and this latest song showcases her synthy tones so damn well.
When the track starts off it's got an off-kilter beat to it, almost reminding me of Grimes around 2012-2015. Once the beat kicks up it's more of a retro-influenced affair with handclaps, snares, and warm synth tones that even New Order would appreciate.
A track over four years in the making, certainly worth every second!
The track is a welcome return for the California-based artist and I'm sure if Alicia releases more music such as this then she could be on course for big things. Speaking about the song she says- "It started out as a poem that I adapted into a song in 2019. Over the last 4 years It’s been through several stages of development." - It certainly seems to be well worth the wait, so do be sure to delve into it below!
