Following on from a solid campaign in 2023 which saw them release their debut album "Dull Boy" is The Whistling Heads, and just this Friday saw them drop their new cut, "Well...I Mean". This could quite easily be one of the most addictive intros, the combination of the sexy bass tones and the funky 'wha' sounds on the guitar is just pure delight to me.
A band who knows exactly how to write a funky indie-rock tune.
For a band that's only been releasing music for just about two years, they seem like they've found their sound rather quickly, and this slice of upbeat indie-rock reminds me of Talking Heads and The Futureheads.
Vocally the song is laden with lyrics that can get the casual listener chanting it back on the second play, and I have to admit when this song would drop in a live performance it could entice everyone to boogie along!
