Just last week saw Ophelia Brooke reveal her dreamy debut single, "Stable", and it's safe to say we got hooked from the first play. Coming out from the scene in the South West of England it sounds like Ophelia is looking to become the next singer-songwriter to break out of the scene.
To me this sounds like dreamy Radiohead mixed with moody Billie Elish tunes.
Two strong comparisons we got from her music on the first play are Radiohead and Billie Eilish. Both artists wrote a song for a James Bond film (although only one was officially released) and this debut offering sounds like it may have been written with that in mind.
The smooth and twanging guitars are a delight to my ears, and with them warming the track up throughout it acts as the perfect backing for some skitty drum patterns and squelchy bass. Vocally this song is stunning and can easily rival anything Billie can do.
