Based out of Nashville, TN is the sublime Kelley Cole and today she has released her stunning new single, "twenty five".It's rather obvious from the get-go that Kelley's vocals are the main point of focus for new listeners, they're laid upon some tender organic instruments and if I'm being honest that only enhances the feel of the song.
...powerful, emotive and theatrical but with a solid indie-rock vibe underlining it all.
Plenty of strings are heard throughout the song, and a fantastic guitar tone is heard before the first chorus hits the track feels elevated and borderline anthemic.
The way it evolves before your ears is amazing too, it's like 'ok you like this, you'll love what's next'. Towards the end, it feels more like a song that the likes of Sigrid would write, powerful, emotive and theatrical but with a solid indie-rock vibe underlining it all.
