Coming out of the ever-amazing scene in Stockholm, Sweden is Purple Stone with the release of their dreamy new single, "A Little Something". Speaking about the song the duo say - " ... "A Little Something" is a song about facing reality, to live and never give up."
The harmonies on this song are sensational, with the sounds heard feeling almost as if they're within your soul, borderline angelic.
One thing that I thought of from the start was an Oasis song ("Champagne Supernova"), with the washing of a guitar acting as the intro. Shortly thereafter the drum comes kicking in and an atmospheric (and yet charming) lead guitar comes draping over the track like a velvety blanket.
Vocally it's up there with the very best soulfully driven dream-pop songs, leaning more towards the style of Wet and Snakadaktal (if anyone else remembers them). The harmonies on this song are sensational, with the sounds heard feeling almost as if they're within your soul, borderline angelic. This is by far one of the best dream-pop songs we've heard from the Scandinavian countries in ages, they're certainly a band to follow, so be sure you don't miss out on future tracks and give them a follow on the socials.
