Coming out of Vancouver in Canada is Etienne Siew, and recently the singer-songwriter has released their incredibly wholesome new single, "Chasing Dreams". The new single is their first since 2019 and the way that this hits you feels as if they're already touring all over the world on the folk scene.
"Chasing Dreams" gives you a massive insight into their new album, which in-turn could be one of the best folk/roots albums of the year.
The sliding guitar especially on this track was alone a key reason as to why we loved this track within the first minute, and when you combine that with foot-stomping percussion and country-orientated vocals it just gives you all those warm and fuzzy feels.
Speaking about the track Etienne Siew mentions - "The lyrics were pieced together on early morning drives to various jobs, as I dreamed of working for myself and being an independent artist. The instrumentation and slide guitar represents the energy of forging ahead to get to the places you want to go!"
The track also acts as the lead single and title track from Etienne's debut album set for release on June 20th, so if you like what you hear then the forthcoming album could be your Summer soundtrack sorted!
