Philadelphia's very own Close Drive have recently unveiled their dreamy new single, "Love Me in the Mornin'". The single is the trio's third outing of 2024 and for me, it comes at a perfect time as the sun has been bathing the country with glorious heat as of late.
The balance of dream-pop and quirky alt-pop is sensational and will go a long way in getting you to delve deep into their older tunes.
Indeed the dreamy nature of the track reminds us a lot of the likes of The Beach Boys and even Foals sounding like they've influenced their music. Vocally it's soft and subtle, but without the listener feeling empty as the tones heard will convince you to sing along to them in no time.
