ELDERLY WHITE MAN releases their funky debut cut, "Moments"

Coming out of Portugal is ELDERLY WHITE MAN, and last Friday saw the band release their new cut, "Moments". "Moments" doubles up as more than just their new single as it's actually the debut release from the Portugal-based duo!

... this is a pretty solid debut cut and will certainly go a long way in getting their name out in and onto their local scene.

I can bang on how important a debut release is on every debut single I review, but I need to emphasise that if you're listening to this on the day of release you'll be one of the very first to lay ears on this!

Vocally I get strong 80s sounds, in the same range as David Bowie with those quivering tones flowing throughout the track. The guitar on this is downright funky, with a plentiful amount of reverb and wah-wah effects giving it a solid amount of warmth.

As the track progresses you also may latch your ears onto the smooth synths that are buried beneath the funky sounds I mentioned earlier on. As it goes this is a pretty solid debut cut and will certainly go a long way in getting their name out in and onto their local scene. Who knows, you may be seeing them at NOS Alive in the future.
