The Savage Hearts have stormed back today with their huge new AA-side single, "Speeding Bullets" / "Only Lovers Left Alive". The single is their second AA-sided effort and both of which come off the back of a solid 2023 which saw a trio of EPs get released by the band.
... just watch, they could be huge.
The Cavan-based quinter very quickly got its way into my ears and heart with the frantic intro, it's laden with punk-style guitar sounds, frantic drumming and some vocal hooks that are filled with swagger. The way the track is so rampant from the get-go is a testament to how the band want to create out-and-out anthems, and even though it's less than three minutes long you'll no doubt feel well acquainted with once it's ended.
The flip side of the single is titled "Only Lovers Left Alive" and is once again a cut that's rammed with fast-paced drums from the outset, and this time around the track features some bluesy horns to add to the mix. It's still a very mosh-friendly cut and sounds just as good as the first track on the release.
The Savage Hearts seemingly are pulling out everything to become the next big band to break out of Ireland, just watch, they could be huge.
