Based out of Buckinghamshire in the UK is Tiyto, and just last Friday the band released their second single of the year. "Patience" is that new track and we feel like it'll be one of those tracks that'll be sticking around with the sound of it.
Warm electronica mixed with nostalgia for a sticky summer's day, perfect if you ask me!
The thick-as-black treacle bassline at the start is like sugar flowing through your veins, it's everywhere and gives you a huge amount of sound to get stuck into from the outset. Add in some reverb-laced guitars and the track feels somewhat like an alt-pop track from the late 80s.
The vocals on this work so damn well and are mixed into the track perfectly, with the chorus especially being a prime example of the commanding nature of it all. With six previous tracks going back into 2022, there is certainly a lot of music to get stuck into if you find yourself delving into their older tunes (like I did). Imagine if Radiohead influenced a synth-rock band from the 80s, that's what "Patience" may sound like. The experimental sound of the beats, the thick synths and the strong vocals will be sure to pique your interest!
