Based out of Seattle, WA is Wonderful and not too long ago saw the band release their brand new single, "So Sentimental", which is their first track since 2011. After the release of their last album in 2011, Wonderful saw big commercial success with their song "Rainbow Colors" as Telstra in Australia uses their song for their adverts.
Vocally I'm reminded a lot of Tame Impala mixed with some electronic nods to Daft Punk with those electronically charged tones.
The sound that hits you within the first two seconds is one of a hazy psychedelic nature, with a dreamy bassline that beckons you forward. Vocally I'm reminded a lot of Tame Impala mixed with some electronic nods to Daft Punk with those electronically charged tones.
The pacing of "So Sentimental" is fantastic and doesn't drop below that BPM of 'tapping your foot' as when I first laid my ears on this early Monday morning I felt myself stomping along. With a strong fanbase in their local area, I can easily see the reemergence of the band bein a blessing for Seattle and the scene there.
The release even features a B-Side track called "Bump It (Like You Mean It)", so if you enjoyed this track like we did then you can head straight into it after listening.
