If you're into your high-octane face-melting scuzzy-indie-rock then you are not ready for CATCH AS CATCH CAN's frantic new EP, "Nude". The new EP is the first 'big' release since the band released their 2023 album, "Rational Anthems".
pure no-frills high-octane indie-rock!
Split into four songs the opening cut is a quick and fast-paced song with some big guitar noises being heard right from the get-go. The track drops almost as if you've been kicked in the balls, it's big and powerful with some scuzzy sounds adorning the track with fuzzy vocals assisting the instruments like prime Messi.
The second track - "Born to Rock" - keeps up that fueled sound, and with the intro of the song sounding like a racecar starting it's almost suggesting that this is once more a cut that can soundtrack a speed-chase.
"Love Leather" is the longest track on the EP with a four-and-a-half-minute run time, and this offering is the band showcasing that they're not just a rock band that does bursts of two to three minutes. The track is more like a 90s grunge tune mixed with dreamy surf undertones.
Rounding out the release is "CACCKORNR", the name of a song that is making my auto-correct go mad at me, but for that I can easily forgive it as it's once more a thrilling slice of what I've come to love about CATCH AS CATCH CAN, just pure no-frills high-octane indie-rock!
