Intercontinen7al shares their arty new track, "Apothecary"

The Castle Rock-based act Intercontinen7al has recently released their brand new album, "Volume 5", and the standout track on the latest LP is "Apothecary". The band since 2020 has now released five albums, no singles, just pure out-and-out albums and this cut for me is one that sits above the rest, with the band also being first group to ever record music on all 7 continents!
... this cut for me is one that sits above the rest.

The way that "Apothecary" opens up is very much like a laid-back Red Hot Chilli Peppers song with it's wavy guitars and drumbeat. Vocally it's dreamy and smooth with Kelly's vocals engaging with the listener from the get-go.

The somewhat jangly nature of the guitars really balances off well with the sci-fi-sounding electronic sounds towards the end, and a string accompanying it as the song ends is a great way to get me even more interested in their unique sound.

The band is a proper trans-oceanic affair with American musicians Matt Smith on guitars/synth and Alex Burke on bass, as well as singer Kelly Wandless who hails from the UK. Previous releases have featured collaborations with artists as far as even Antarctica, so to say that this is an intercontinental project is definitely correct.
