Sam Lily unveils his sensational new single, "Stay Sad"

Hailing from the brilliantly-named Murwillumbah in Australia is Sam Lily with his new single, "Stay Sad". The single also acts as the lead track from his new EP, "Twigs and Sticks", and if I'm allowed to be honest... this might just be one of the best tracks I've heard on an EP in ages in this genre.

A sensational mix of punk, folk, and acoustic tones all backed up with powerful vocals.

"Stay Sad" twists up nostalgic tones, similar to that of Dire Straights, acoustic Pop-Punk vocal tones and a flowing bassline to create a track that will grip you from the first minute (let alone first play!). The way that the guitar at the start just reverbs its way into my head was one of the main reasons my ears perked up to this, not to mention Sam's powerful vocals too.

I can't quite get over how much this track got into my head, like an earworm burrowing its way deep. If you like the sounds of Frank Turner and those old-school Don Broco acoustic tracks then you'll love Sam Lily and his new release.
