Amsterdam-based duo Scarlet Mill earlier this month shared their new single, "Just", with this single acting as their second outing of the year following on from "Driftwood".
For me the duel-vocal approach on this track makes it for me, just wow.
The song begins with an aggressive synth tone that soon gives way to a soaring guitar before the vocals enter and alter the mood once more. Erik contributes some deep, velvety voice tones to the pleasant new song, which contrasts with Jennifer's incredibly dreamy vocals.
The song for me has a fantastic late-night sort of sound with the bassline and electronic bursts suggesting that there are perhaps some Psychedelic influences on the track too. If you're a fan of the likes of Massive Attack and to some extent Tame Impala then we feel like this will fit in nicely and snugly into your ears. Be sure to listen intently towards the end where there is even some hard-rock guitar screeches to get your teeth stuck into too.
