Coming out of the city of Durham is The Casbahs with the fantastic tune, "Roman Numerals". The new release was originally part of their debut album in 2022, but this standout song has deserved its revival with a 2024 re-release.

The jangly track is infectious from the outset with a smattering of guitars layered on top of one another, warm acoustic tones offset the 80's sounding tones while the vocals seemingly caress the bassline like a newborn on a mumma. As you can see with the retro VHS-looking lyric video below, the band means business.
The vocal tones of this are so smooth, with the chorus especially giving me those chills that clearly is why the band wanted to release the lyric video. No doubt these lots are a hard-working band, and with their fanbase ever-expanding we feel like this track could inject a lot more interest in the County Durham-based quartet.
