San Diego-based Trueblood and Homescool late last month revealed their big collab single, "I Like My Life The Way It Is". "I Like My Life The Way It Is" is the first collaboration between father/daughter band Homescool and brother-band, Trueblood.
What makes this track even more impressive is that it was written by 12 year old Mason Trueblood, quite the achievement if you ask me. The sound on this single is a blend of pop-punk, alt-rock and hard-rock with a solid amount of vocal melodies to give the listener that infectious hook that'll have them coming back over and over again.
The song kicks off with a punk-rock style guitar, a bit like Blink-182 but it evolves more into an alt-rock anthem with the chorus giving you chills with those underlining vocal tones. The production on the track is massive and we feel like this track will go a long way with getting both acts more followers and streams.
I can't see them performing in venues as of yet - considering how young they are - but both acts sound massive for their age, and with time they could evolve into a real force on their local scene (and beyond!).
