Coming out of Edmonton in Canada is Rigger Morris, and the trio have recently revealed their brand new self-titled (kind of) single "The Ballad of Rigger Morris", to make things even more self-titled the is lifted from the release titled "Rigger Morris EP".
... the track needs to come with an addiction warning it's so good.
I feel like if I say the band name one more time they may appear in front of my eyes, which wouldn't be a bad thing as the new cut is very addictive!
Right from the get-go there's an incredibly warm guitar tone twanging away, and with the subtle country vibes swirling around the pace gets kicked up almost in an instant when the drums come by.
Vocally it's more of the same style with the guitars, an enriched tone with plenty of rawness and heart. The track for me sits comfortably enough on the verge of country that I felt like I could get into their sound with ease, it's partially punk-rock and alt with the beat on offer, and the drop around the midway point leading into a flurry of a guitar riffing out was the moment we sealed the deal with the track. It's a frantic track that can transcend sub-genres, the track needs to come with an addiction warning it's so good.
