Based out of Colombus in Ohio, USA is Absinthe Vows with their infectious new cut, "Your Mad Demands". The single is the second track to be lifted off their brand new album, "Of the Cherished", and right off the bat, we've got this massive dark-rock vibe similar to that of The Cure and Molchat Doma.
... an epic dark sound to wrap my ears around.
The industrial-sounding intro really helps to set the scene here with the dark sounds shortly following. The warm guitar sounds are offset with some haunting synths and vocals that are sure to leave a mark on you. The tempo of "Your Mad Demands" is great with it sounding like it was almost written to get a crowd in an intimate music venue moving along. The sound here is very raw, which we love them for that, and one thing I also loved on the cut is the drops before the chorus comes in, it's haunting and dark but still provided me with an epic sound to wrap my ears around.
