Coming out of the amazing scene up in Manchester is The Juice, and the newly emerging quintet have recently dropped their atmospheric new single, "Pieces". Having formed pre-pandemic they released their first track in 2020 before the world changed since then they've really found their feet and have dropped seven tracks with over 100k plays on Spotify alone.
They're going on to do big things, we can feel (and hear) it!
The atmospheric new single is dominated by swirling guitars and vocals, with the intro also offering the listener some gentle piano tones - it was feeling a lot like early Coldplay here (the best kind) - before the track started to evolve right before me.
The way the track builds up is phenomenal, and this should honestly go down as one of the best build-ups of the whole year (if there was such an award), it even sounds a bit like 2007 Bloc Party with the main guitar acting as an anchor for the listener to latch onto.
It feels almost as if it's two tracks with the latter half being an out-and-out indie-anthem that the likes of Reading & Leeds Festivals would love to have on their stages. Just do yourself a favour, give these lot a play and thank yourself in a few years when you're the first to know about their arena dates!
