Not too long ago saw Newcastle-based singer-songwriter Sam George share his debut single, "Nothing Will Cure It". The track landed in our inbox last week, and we've been thoroughly enjoying it ever since.
"Nothing Will Cure It" blends nostalgic and modern alt-rock with hushed vocals and fiery guitars
The track kicks off with a funky guitar before it turns into more of an alt-rock-type sound. His vocals are very hushed, with them offering the listener an easy way to get into his sound. The single has a great blend of nostalgia and modern sounds that offers plenty for everyone to get into. The chorus, especially for me, is a great section, with scorched guitars reminding me of Fontaines D.C. even in places.
Safe to say that as a debut single goes, this is going to be capturing the ears of plenty of people, so get on board!
