Hailing from Hamburg in Germany it's ZOE.LEELA, and just a few days ago saw her reveal her upbeat new tune, "Gold Reloading". Her new single is the first since "Femininity" came out back in October, and I have to say that this is quite the charging banger.
... an electrifying, bass-driven banger with Grimes-esque vocals and a hypnotic club vibe.
Vocally I am heavily reminded of those electronically-charged vocals from Grimes on her last proper album, and when you mix in some tropical synth tones and deep bass tones the sounds start to envelope you.
It's when the first big drop comes around the 80-second mark that it gets a bit 'alt' and the vocals become more like you're tripping in a nightclub, very echoed and layered. When you head into the latter third you'll be left wanting more, and the beat of the track will have you tapping along for hours after you finish the track - infectious indeed!
