Julia Richard reveals her dreamy new offering, "Friends"

Hailing from Paris, France is Julia Richard and her new single, "Friends". The new offering acts as Julia's debut single, and for a first outing it sounds really well rounded.

...  a dreamy, jazz-tinged synth-pop gem that blends Thom Yorke-tones with lush, psychedelic textures.

"Friends" starts off with this smooth wave of synths and piano tones, almost with a psychedelic sheen flowing on top. Once her vocals come in, a jazzy backing comes in, and it honestly sounds like something that Thom Yorke would write if he was a bit more of a pop act.

Speaking of the song she mentions - " I fell in love with my best friend, but I was too afraid to tell him, too afraid of losing him." We have a great flavour of what she is all about, and for me the percussive section really brings it all together, and when you combine her dreamy vocals and those soft key tones it's instantly a winner for us. Be sure to sink in deep in the latter third of the track, it's stunning.
