Musically the track is rather simplistic with a piano tone giving the vocals all they need to be effective. It's very London Grammar in places in terms of the vocal range, with comtempoary sounds comparable to that of British pianist Tom Odell.
Of course, the track gets more layered up the more it goes, and when the crisp drums come in the sound is a bit more jazzy, but don't let that take you away from Vanna's voice. The way this has been mixed and produced also needs to be shouted about too, it's so raw, emotional, and relaxing all at the same time.
Speaking about the song, Vanna mentions, "The track is a haunting reflection on the push-and-pull dynamic of a destructive relationship, where love, fear, and resignation blur together, leaving the narrator caught in a painful, repetitive cycle that is hard to escape."
