Hailing from Buckinghamshire in England is Broken Colours, and the band has returned with their infectious new single "Hey It's Me". The single perfectly blends melodic indie-pop charm with gritty rock edges, thick with a blend of the jangly tones The Kooks and the addictive nature of Red Hot Chilli Peppers backline.
... a jangly indie-rock anthem tackling mental health with grit, groove, and irresistible charm.
The band are rather known for their electrifying live performances, and the four-piece are seemingly showing off that skill with the addictive new song. With a bold entrance filled with storming guitar and basslines it's the type that'll keep you hooked.
The vocals are delicious on this, and for me, they got me interested enough to check out their other tracks. Speaking of the song the band mentions - "This song is about that negative side of you, that voice inside your head, which is supposed to be your anxiety, touching on Mental Health challenges. We wanted a truly authentic sound when recording this track, almost a bit like the Rolling Stones"
With the combination of a strong string of live dates behind them and now a track that can grip listeners, turning them into fans, it's going to be an exciting ride so get on board.
