Frequency77 share their cover of the "Time" by The Alan Parsons Project

Wollongong-based Frequency77 haev recently put their own fiery stamp on The Alan Parsons Project's song, "Time", reimagining the song with a fresh blast of indie rock energy.

... a punchy, two-and-a-half-minute indie-rock belter that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.

Being not all that familiar with the track, I was sure to check it out first, and when I heard this cover, I was blown away but how different it sounds.

It's no longer a piano-driven ballad but is more of a punchy indie-rock belter, with added atmosphere. It's got a lot of the prog-rock noise surrounding it too, with the track bursting into life just after the 35-second mark.

Even though it clocks in at just two and a half minutes, the band's melodic sensibilities shine through the rock edge, delivering a version that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. This is not just a cover, more a reimagination to call their own.
