Liverpool-based Never or Now have today dropped their fierce and striking debut single. "Alabaster Chambers" is the track in question, and it sounds like the band have added nods to fellow Merseyside acts in the track.

The way the vocals come over it sounds a bit like The Lightning Seeds mixed with some more indie-rock-leaning sensibilities. The whole track has this shimmering guitar line floating on top of it, giving off a rather cinematic feeling in the back of your ears.
It's enticing and will easily get you hooked onto their sound from the get-go. For a debut, "Alabaster Chambers" is both bold and inviting, showcasing a group who sound like they can (at any moment) step-up to stardom.
