Edmond-based artist Dead Feather has released a huge statement of a track with "American Dreams", which is a hard-hitting rock anthem that blends 80s and 90s influences with raw, emotional storytelling.
... a gritty, 80s-meets-90s rock anthem pulsing with raw emotion.
Vocally, I'm reminded of Lou Reed mixed with Nick Cave, with some haunting synth tones added in for good measure. The track is a part of his upcoming album "Cate Heleswv (Red Medicine) Vol. 1", and as far as we go this might be one heck of a gateway song into his forthcoming LP.
"American Dreams" really goes out and captures both sides of anger and hope through chunky and electrifying guitar riffs to those brooding and commanding dual vocals. So if you're looking for a nostalgic-sounding track with raw vocals be sure to check out Dead Father!
