Based out of Dublin is Strutter, and earlier today saw the act release their new moody single, "Modern Life", which is dreamy, sharp and has plenty of hooks to bring you in.
... a moody, hook-filled indie-rock track blending 90s grit with dreamy, psych-infused swagger.
The track kicks off with a jangly and yet psych sound before bursting into life with some swagger-filled vocals. It's so moody, with tones that reminded me of Lou Reed in places, and when you add in that 90s rock grit, it won't be long before you line this up for a second play.
"Modern Life" is a great example of an exciting act that is not afraid to fuse nostalgic elements together and to experiment with the outcome. To me this sounds very smoky and will be perfect on the biggest of stages, closing out their set.
