John Nicholas returns with “Today With You,”

Coming out of the South Welsh town of Llantwit Major is John Nicholas, and the singer-songwriter has revealed quite a unique A/AA-side single.

... infectious indie-rock with jangly guitars and folk-driven vibes, now in both English and Welsh for double the charm.

The upbeat single bursts to life from the outset, with jangly guitars, tremendously addictive drumbeats, and his vocal tones. Speaking about his voice, it reminds me a bit of Stereophonics and The Manic Street Preachers in places, but with a more upbeat/folk-driven mood behind it.

So, I may have left you hanging on the intro, but the uniqueness of the single is that the second song on the release is the Welsh version, all sung in his country's native tongue. The whole song is this shimmering burst of indie-rock, and regardless of the language you listen to it in, you'll be able to hear the feel-good sounds flowing throughout.
