Hailing from Newcastle in Australia is a stomping new cut, titled "Dynamite Daddy". The new offering is from Banquet Darling, and it sounds to us like the punk scene is very alive in New South Wales.
... a swaggering, self-made punk stomper packed with jagged riffs, punchy breakdowns and serious New South Wales attitude.
The outfit is the brainchild of globe-trotting former circus performer Todd Kilby, and this new offering is a great example of his jagged sounds, edgy basslines and rather punk-driven vocal tones. It honestly reminded me of being in my dad's car as a kid, listening to a lot of radio-friendly punk tunes on those incredibly obscure radio stations in Essex.
The track has a fantastic breakdown in the latter half, once more showing off why this act needs to have a lot of attention towards him. Lots of swagger, punchy moments and self-driven (from recording to performing instruments). It's a gateway, perhaps, to a new world of music!
