Boxing Club have recently released their debut EP, "What's the State Done to You?", and the centrepiece song on the release is the edgy cut, "Father and State".
... an urgent indie-rock anthem in the vein of Interpol, Nine Black Alps and Boy Kill Boy that screams future headliners!
Based out of both the Glasgow and London scenes, the band have settled on this really urgent indie-rock sound that reminds us a lot of the frantic sounds of Interpol, Nine Black Alps and Boy Kill Boy - I'm showing my age here!
It's filled with hooks left, right and centre, big sing-along worthy vocals, danceable beats and an energy that can entice fields of fans to jump up and down in unison.
I really loved listening to this, so imagine how I felt on the first play. If you loved it as much as we did then be sure to head into their EP for 3 more belters! They sound less like newcomers and more like a headline act in waiting.
