Following on from his 2025 debut single, "pip", is Austin-based indie/alternative artist Mike Lotito, and his new offering is a very upbeat slice of indie-pop once more.

The intro is amazing, a real winner that can easily beckon listeners in. Once his vocals come in, there is an edge of a punk tone there, but the track is not an acoustic-punk tune by any means, but certainly has an underlying hue about it. The track is grippingly well paced, a drumbeat that you can stomp your foot to in appreciation and a chorus that'll be an earworm for the forthcoming week or two.
As the lead single from his upcoming EP "Lifemade", "Cut Loose" shows off his ability to turn personal experiences into universally resonant music that you can easily bop along to.
