James Stephen & The Good Ones return with their new offering, “Lonely Days.” It’s a dreamy, heartfelt blend of warm Americana tones, classic folk instrumentation, all underpinned by a soft rock feel.
... a warm, soulful blend of Americana and soft rock that feels like a future classic.
The vocals are particularly impressive, carrying strong emotional intensity throughout - especially in the opening exchanges. For me, there are subtle hints of Lighthouse Family in the mix. It might just be how the track landed on first listen, but either way, I really enjoyed its smooth, cohesive sound.
Recorded at Whitewood Studios in Liverpool, this track is a great example of what the artist is all about. Be sure to keep an ear out for a delightful guitar solo in the final third - it’s a real standout moment. To me, this sounds like a classic in the making from the Stockport artist.
