Sotto James releases the tender new track, "Cold Fingers"

Sotto James' "Cold Fingers" is a beautifully restrained indie-folk track emerging from London, England. From the outset, it captivates with crisp acoustic guitar work, delicately layered with folky horn textures and whimsical vocals.

... cinematic and emotionally rich.

There’s an alternative, cinematic quality to the production, and as his second release of the year, it feels like a real turning point. It has the kind of emotional pull that could easily capture thousands of listeners.  If you’re drawn to moody folk music, this one will sit comfortably in your world. It features emotive male vocals, sweeping, immersive passages, and subtle experimental undertones that give it real depth.

A standout moment comes in the final third, where strings rise alongside atmospheric vocals, bringing everything together in a beautifully satisfying conclusion. It’s the kind of track that reveals more with every listen and never feels tired, no matter how many times it’s played.

It’s also the sort of release that will make you want to see the artist live - and if I were in London, I’d be doing exactly that.
