Louie Cameron drops his debut EP, "Do You Wanna Go Out?"

London-based artist Louie Cameron steps confidently into the spotlight with his debut EP Do You Wanna Go Out? We have previously featured him on the website, and for good reason too.

... moody, genre-spanning debut EP blending Britpop, post-punk, and cinematic alt-rock into a cohesive statement.

The opening track, the title track, is an immersive song that is fairly stripped back at its core but carries haunting echoes throughout, underpinned by alt-rock influences.

Moving on swiftly, the second track, "All I Want To Do", feels like a moody 1990s slacker rock affair with hints of Britpop. The quirky guitar work after the midpoint really caught my attention, and it closes on a powerful crescendo of layered vocals and refined guitar textures.

We have previously raved about "Cantina Canoona", so click here to read that, but moving into the latter half of the EP we reach "Gigi’s Bar", a more expansive and moody track that recalls the atmosphere of the last two "Arctic Monkeys" albums, with its keyboard-driven soundscapes. It remains simple in structure but feels grand in scale.

Finishing the EP is "In The Moment", the most upbeat track of the collection, drawing influence from "New Order" and late 1980s alternative rock. It leans more into spoken-word delivery than the earlier tracks, adding a distinctive edge to the release and wrapping it up in a satisfying way. Listeners who make it to the end are rewarded with one of his most expansive tracks to date.
