JP2 reveals his cover of "Enter Sandman" by Metallica

Hailing from DeLand, Florida, solo artist JP2 completely redefines independent rock with his audacious new single, "Enter Sandman". The cover of Metallica's standout song is quite the piece, with a slightly brighter tone, which leans more towards the alt-rock and indie rock genres.

... a bold reimagining of a metal classic that transforms "Enter Sandman" into an indie-rock anthem.

Yes, the vocals are still as dark as the original, with the main guitar also being very deep, but the overall feel of this track is fantastic and can easily hold a candle to the original.

It does feel like it's been taken up a semitone or two, especially with the chorus feeling more like a track you'd hear at Reading and Leeds Festival or even Glastonbury, for that matter.

I love these sorts of covers that reinvent a classic song into one that artists can call their own. With JP2 doing that, we ended up listening to his previous singles, and there's much more to discover if you have the time. Be sure to get stuck into this cover as soon as you are done here! Off to never-never land!
