Mariecke Borger returns with the delicate new track, "The Shore"

Mariecke Borger is a Veluwe-based singer-songwriter from the Netherlands, and the artist has now returned with her delicate single "The Shore". This new single is the first since "Heartbeat" came out in May earlier this year and is a delicate offering from the Dutch singer-songwriter.

... a warm and emotionally rich folk gem that feels like reconnecting with an old friend.

To me, this is a delicately balanced folk track mixed with plenty of emotion that Mariecke has within. I personally like the ukulele and stunning, twanging, country-style guitars on this. It really helps to ease me into the song and, even though it's less than three minutes long, I feel as though I was reacquainted with an old friend by the end of it.

There are some incredibly cinematic moments with violins and what seem to be banjos as well, giving it that warm, rooted feel that is surely going to grip anybody who is listening to her for the first time.

The single is also backed by the previous two songs that she's released as B-sides, so if this is the first time you've heard of her, then be sure to stick around for the full release.
