London-based singer-songwriter Zak Coghlan delivers an electrifying statement with "Jump the Gun". This offering from the singer-songwriter is an incredibly punchy track that is sure to go down as one of his best to date.
... a punchy indie rock anthem bursting with festival-sized energy and irresistible hooks.
Personally, I loved the guitar sound in the intro, and that was one major selling point for me. It got me hooked on the track for its full duration. We've listened to music by him before, and the trajectory that Zak is on is one that will see him playing big shows in no time.
The chorus is an out-and-out indie rock belter, with a feeling that envelops you, transporting you even to Reading and Leeds Festival. It's got that much of an upbeat indie rock vibe.
It reminds me of the excitement I felt when I first heard Circa Waves and Sea Girls. The whole vibe, the whole feeling that you get when you listen to this, is just brilliant, and we can see him being one of the standout artists in the years to come.
