Swansea, Wales-based indie rock outfit The Fiends continues their impressive rise with "Sonder". The new single is an absolute soarer right from the get-go. The first 30 seconds are sure to grip you if you enjoy your anthem-ready guitar music.

It sounds like this was written for the festival season, the kind of song that will get a whole field of people jumping along and singing in unison. A real treat for the ears. The song is very much alt-rock leaning, with indie-pop sensibilities all mixed in with some atmospheric shoegaze influences that showcase the band's stunning ability at crafting a proper belter.
With soaring vocals, hooks left, right, and centre, and a beat that will have you tapping along in no time, I personally felt like I was at home with this track way before we even reached the halfway point of the song, even on the first listen. And that said, this is certainly a track that you can sink back into and enjoy from the very first play. Be sure to keep an eye out for the final minute as there is an absolute cracking guitar riff that will solidify you as a fan.
Considering this is the first song since their 2025 EP titled "Lazarus" came out, it is certainly a reminder that this Welsh band means business!
