Coming out of Fort McMurray in Canada is the Christian rock artist JF Roy. The new single is his third of the year, and this singer-songwriter is the kind of artist that gets tens of thousands of plays on his music. It sounds like this track could be his biggest hit to date.

It is a very upbeat offering with a bright intro, delightfully upbeat guitars, and, of course, his stunning vocal tones paving the way. I really did like the crunching bass on this one, mixed with the sprightly guitar sounds and tight percussion. His vocals are stunning, and when it hits the chorus for the first time, it comes into this inspiring anthem.
With a hint of 1990s alternative rock about it, mixed with more modern pop sensibilities, this song is the kind that can straddle a generation or two, with hopefully lots more fans discovering his music along the way.
With the track being written about letting hope and faith illuminate the darkest paths, this is certainly the kind of track that will give you a bit of an upbeat pep on a grey Monday morning, much like it did for me. Be sure to check out JF Roy and his new single "The Morning Light" when you can.
