The Boldon Colliery-based singer-songwriter, Johnny Pears, is back and he is back with a brand new tune called "Pin Cushion".

Right from the get-go, the intro alone is going to be hitting you with a rush of scorched guitars. After that, when the track unravels in front of you, you have this absolutely epic track that sounds like it was destined for the big stages of Reading and Leeds Festival.
It's got that new wave energy that reminds you of the likes of The Smiths in places, with a lot more newer and modern sounds that the likes of Blossoms are famous for, but with a pinch of scuzzy punk revival about it.
It's an absolutely euphoric track with lots of nostalgic moments dotted left, right, and centre. The pacing is awesome, and even though the track is 3.5 minutes long, you'll feel very well acquainted with Johnny by the time it's finished.
Considering this is his second solo song, this sounds like someone who's been in the game for many years, not just less than a year or so. Be sure to check his stuff out as I feel like there's plenty more new tunes to drop in the future the coming months.
