Based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota is alternative rock artist Paul Jarmer Anthony. The singer-songwriter has returned with his brand-new single, "Stay". The track has its roots in the 1990s, with the jangling guitar sounds echoing that of the scene all those years ago.

Vocally, it's somewhat grunge, but whilst laced upon this more upbeat indie rock-styled instrumentation, it really has two core layers to it. Both have certainly perked my ears up when I heard this for the first time.
Paul channels the grief of losing his mother alongside the catharsis of promised sobriety; you can really hear the emotions of two things going on here.
This could quite easily be one of his biggest songs to date. Even though he's only released a quartet of singles now, I feel like this would be one of those tracks that he'll be performing at his live shows for decades to come.
