Coming out of Brussels, Belgium is the power pop band, CMON CMON, and they have returned with "New England In Fall". The intro sounds very much like the late '90s rock scene coming out of the UK, and with a smattering of synthesiser tones, it reminds me almost of The Killers' early work.
... CMON CMON delivers a joyous, synth-kissed power pop anthem packed with irresistible nostalgic hooks.
Way before the vocals came in, I knew that I was going to be enjoying this with the perfect blend of strong indie rock guitar hooks and drum patterns. But as soon as those vocals came in, I knew I was going to be playing this song a lot more often. With the EP released back in 2025, getting over 40,000 plays on Spotify, I knew that this new single was going to be of the same quality, if not more.
It's a fantastic brace of melodic pop-rock moments with soaring vocals that just reminded me of my mid-20s. Just so much joy to be heard in this 3:44-long track. It was a joy to behold on the first listen.
