Danny Suede shares the sun-kissed new tune, "shadows on the pavement"

Bursting out from Spokane, United States, is Danny Suede, who has recently released his new track titled "shadows on the pavement". The new offering from the American singer-songwriter has already shot to the top of his most popular songs on Spotify, and I can easily tell why from the very first minute. ... a shimmering, uplifting slice of bedroom pop that feels made for sunny days. The opening sequence of the song is a delicate balance of acoustic guitar mixed with his serene vocals and a dash of electronic pulses just to get you all warmed up. For me, the fusion of bedroom pop and alternative pop sounds reminded me of an early Ed Sheeran as he was about to take over the British music scene. With that in mind, it sounds like Danny is also going in that direction. It is such an uplifting track and has brilliant shimmering moments that make this an unmistakably top pick for your Sunkissed playlists. He is an artist who is on the rise, so be sure to listen to him as soon as you...

Pisgah returns with her new single , "Delphinus and Dippers"

Singer-songwriter Brittney Jenkins - aka Pisgah - with the bold new single, "Delphinus and Dippers". We have previously had her on our website before, and for good reason too. Her music is incredible and cinematic and can easily grip me with every second that goes by. ... a sizzling, cinematic alt-rock gem weaving Cigarettes After Sex-style moodiness with sweet vocals, shimmering guitars, and a breathtaking outro. The new track has a delightful intro that lasts for 40 seconds before her wonderful vocals come rolling in, almost like Cigarettes After Sex and Beach House, but with even sweeter vocals behind it. This is a sizzling, emotive alternative rock gem, and the London-based artist honestly knows no bounds. This sounds like it has been written to close music festivals on a Sunday, with the rain coming down and the mood high, with plenty of people admiring her on stage. One thing I personally loved was the delicate balance of the moody vocal tones and the shimmering guitars...

EVE.L shares her pop-banger, "SUGAR EATER."

EVE.L, a bold UK-based artist originating from England, is back - and if you like the sound of Grimes and early Charli XCX, this is for you. ... an explosive, Coachella-ready pop fusion blending Grimes-esque vocals with tropical and K-pop influences into a high-energy anthem. The sounds on offer are a unique blend, with the genres on show going all the way from tropical pop to K-pop and basically everything in between. Vocally it is very much reminiscent of Grimes, as I mentioned earlier, but the production values on this sound like it's been written to be performed on the biggest stage at Coachella. It's a real eargasm for those who are looking for a very pop-driven track that isn't on the verge of hyperpop, but still has enough oomph and charm about it that you'll be hooked after the first listen. With now two releases to her name, she has surpassed the 200,000-play mark on Spotify, so she is certainly an artist who's on the rise. Be sure to keep your eye out for ...

Tara Van returns with her big new offering, "Miles On It"

Back with her first single since 2024 is Toronto, Canada singer-songwriter Tara Van. She has delivered a stunning blend of neo-soul and dreamy-pop tones on this new single. The track "Miles" starts off with a gorgeous lick of vocals and acoustic guitar before steadily building up to a delightful verse where you can hear cinematic synth tones washing over the track, mixed in with some ethereal backing vocals. ... A triumphant, soul-stirring comeback blending ethereal vocals with cinematic, dreamy-pop warmth. Written in collaboration with Mark Calderone, this new track is quite the return for an artist who released her debut album in 2023 and since then has gone on to get tens of thousands of plays across her tracks. With this grand return, I can easily see her doing as well as she's ever done, if not better. Be sure to keep this track playing and then delve into her previous tracks as soon as you're done. Her tender vocal tones are sure to win you over. Want us to he...

SCATTERCHILD unleash their new tune, "FRUSTRATOR"

Manchester, England art-rockers SCATTERCHILD have recently unleashed their mega new indie-rock track, "FRUSTRATOR". The latest track from the band is their second of the year and is a kaleidoscope of deep alt-rock sounds, with some experimental elements thrown into the mix, too. ... a dark, synth-layered alt-rock masterpiece packed with aggressive grooves and immense Radiohead-level ambition. I personally loved how the bass warmed up the inner workings of my mind with some stunning and aggressive grooves mixed into the synths, giving you quite a dark song to really get stuck into. From the very first play, I knew that this would be quite the earworm, and since I've listened to it a few times on repeat, I've found more and more layers to discover in the track. They sound to me like one of the new breed of bands that are slowly but surely making their way out of Manchester onto the wider scene. If they keep on making tracks such as this, then I can see them rivalling th...

The Wrong Man shares their new single, "Return to Silence"

Hailing from London, England, is indie outfit The Wrong Man, and they have recently delivered a dark, atmospheric masterpiece, "Return to Silence". The new single is just their third release since they started releasing music, but by the sounds of it, they've been in the game for a long time. ... a haunting, surf-tinted London alt-rock anthem that hooks you in from the very first spin. The intro is very dark, cinematic, and hauntingly reflective, with some shadowy vocals entering the fold before an undertone of twinkly synths enters the track (before it becomes more dreamy towards the one-minute mark). For me, as soon as the drums and surf-tinted guitars came in, it really took on a new lease of life. I was totally on board way before the halfway point. As soon as those jazzy moments came in, I knew I was going to be sticking around for the long haul on this one and definitely giving it a couple more plays, just to be on the safe side. Suffice to say, as soon as the song ...

Bloodyarvo reveals their debut single, "Feel My Heart Sleeps"

Sitting at zero monthly listeners on Spotify is Bloodyarvo, however, the reason for that is that they have JUST launched onto the streaming service with their their debut single, "Feel My Heart Sleeps" - and my goodness what an intro to the band we have. As debut singles go this is certainly in the 'God Tier' Opening up with smooth almost soulful vocals and drips of guitar tones sets the mood for the rest of the song, it's slightly seductive and funky. Instrumentally in the verses it's stripped back with not too many instruments crowding it all, ensuring that you can really get a chance to hear every member of the band at their finest. Mood-wise it reminds me of a slow Foals track but with the psychedelia nods of Tame Impala's more upbeat tracks, add some almost grunge sounding guitars and drums and this song will turn you into a fan like it did for me. In their bio the band mentions - "It's about what Ariq (front-man) experienced during 2020 lock...

TV Review... Skins (Season 6 Episode 1)

An exclusive online preview of the first episode in the brand new award-winning sixth series. The gang return in style burning their way through a holiday in Morocco. If you haven't seen Skins before it's an extreme spin on a what parents think their kids are doing.. After the fifth season getting a 'bad reaction' in America (which us Brits found very humorous), season six comes bursting with all the usual. Drugs, Sexual content and an abundance of swearing. The sound track for the first episode is the usual 'rave' music, combined with Indie-Rock and slow harmonious music for the programmes 'quiet' and 'sexy' scenes. It's only available to watch on 4OD in the UK, until then you will have to wait (sadly) for the rest of the season, it doesn't officially go on air until the 26th of January but if you click HERE you'll be able to give it a watch. If you haven't seen Skins before it's an extreme spin on a what parents think the...

Track of the week... Garden City Movement - Pont des Arts

Earlier this year we responded to an email inviting us down to an 'industry-invite-only' show, and this band were last on the bill. I tried to listen to all of the bands before popping down, but I forgot to do one, this band. When they finally took to the stage they instantly wowed my with their vast array of pedals giving them the most anthematic, atmospheric and gorgeous guitar sounds I've heard in a long-while, and I still stand by that! I loved their performance I even caught them play in a small stage at Galstonbury, which was one of the most exciting acts I saw that weekend. Last week we saw the Tel-Aviv band's brand new track "Pont des Arts" finally get a online airing, after only being played through live shows fans were essentially demanding to hear it over and over again. The song is a great one to get into the band with, combine slick on-stage production, ethereal vocals layered and layered upon each other, guitars draped in lashes of reverb a...
