New Sunday reveals their stunning single, "The Empty Street"

Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, is home to New Sunday, a studio project that has got some incredible sounds to them. Lemon return with the solid new cut, "Let It Out! (Uncle Tim Remix)"

We have been a fan of Amsterdam-based Lemon for a while now, and recently they have revealed their shimmering new cut of "Let It Out! (Uncle Tim Remix)". The track is even more nostalgic than it was originally, with the opening sequence of the song having sexy saxophones, atmospheric vocals, and a cinematic synth beckoning you forward. ... a seductive remix that's soulful and groove-packed with shimmering synths and irresistible guitar. Once it gets going, there is a tremendous groove throughout, and it is seductive in terms of its beats. Also, the guitar line is an absolute whopper for me, making me nod my head in appreciation well before the first minute is even finished. The remix is incredibly infectious and has those soulful vocals that have got the band to where they are today. Melinda Joy & Son of Cormack reveal the dreamy new song, "Out of the Blue"

Austin, Texas-based Melinda Joy & Son of Cormack take listeners on a whimsical and romantic journey with "Out of the Blue." This is a collaborative single and is Melinda's first track to be released since her 2020 release "Beautiful Illusions." ... a whimsical blend of dreamy indie folk, Americana rock, and beautifully balanced vocals. The track is, quite simply put, four minutes of dreamy indie folk mixed with clean Americana rock. I personally loved the blend of vocals on this, with Melinda's sweet tones balanced off with George's deeper tones. It was a wonderful first listening experience, and I was very much getting excited to give this a second play even before the halfway point of my first spin. Piper Connolly reveals the charging new anthem, "body bag"

Phoenix-based Piper Connolly has recently delivered a fierce and emotionally charged alt-rock anthem with "body bag." ... a fierce alt-rock belter packed with commanding vocals, slick bass, and serious replay value. The intro is honestly an incredible offering for you, with some slick bass tones giving way to her commanding vocals and a drum beat that will have you stomping in no time. Wolves of Delphi drops their stunning debut single, "Stagger"

Bursting out from the incredible scene in Reading is Wolves of Delphi. The rip-roaring new track is a raw alternative rock cut that is incredibly unpolished and organic, with me feeling almost as if I've been transported back into the mid-90s grunge scene with how the intro made me feel. ... a huge first impression with a raw, urgent, and emotionally charged alternative rock debut. Vocally, I'm getting massive Chris Cornell vibes from this, with the deep vocals elongated on every word. It is such a powerful track, and even though they are just a duo, they have certainly made a song that sounds like they are a massive quartet or even quintet. What is even more staggering is that this is their debut single, and as far as debut singles go, this could be up there with the very best within the genre. Out of the music scene in Lincolnshire, England, is Riri Rose, and the singer-songwriter has recently released a personal new single, "Questions I'll Never Know." ... a sensational debut with a cinematic, nostalgic acoustic track that blends Britpop charm with stunning vocals. The new offering is the first track to be lifted from her new album, and it draws inspiration from her growing up in a small village in Lincolnshire. It's incredibly acoustic, and Riri's vocals are simply stunning throughout, with the clean acoustic guitar tones paving the way for you to get truly stuck into it. It's cinematic and nostalgic at the same time, with some influences that sound almost like Britpop and the early 2000s singer-songwriter scene, with echoes of KT Tunstall and Corinne Bailey Rae. Edmonton-based singer-songwriter and visual artist Garett Gunderson is back with his nostalgic slice of rock. The new track is titled "Anywhere Anytime", and it has this incredibly warm Americana rock undertone that has a distinct taste of the 1990s about it too. ... a warm and uplifting Americana rock anthem with 90s nostalgia, soaring choruses and a standout guitar solo. As you will be able to hear from the very start, it is incredibly uplifting and has a soaring chorus that is sure to get you on board well within the first minute. The song was written during a particularly difficult period of his life while he was supporting a terminally ill friend and a bandmate. But the overall feel of this song is less about sadness and is more of an upbeat affair that is sure to get you feeling better, even on the gloomiest of days. Paul Ariss is one of our favourite artists on this website, and the Prescot-based singer-songwriter is back with his new single, "The Way You Are". ... a warm and heartfelt indie rock gem with jangly guitars, Smiths-inspired charm and beautifully rich vocals. Much like his previous tracks, this is once more a warm and heartfelt indie rock offering with a smattering of jangly guitars that remind you almost of The Smiths in places. It's a very polished track and is certainly going to be one of his key tracks moving forward. One thing I personally loved was how, after the halfway point, the track became brighter, fuller, and the richness exploded, with his vocals becoming even better as far as I'm concerned. There's so much charm to this song, and as I was in the final third of the track, I had a lot of self-reflection and decided to give this track a play once more. British vocalists always get praise all over the world, but a portion of them get over-looked at festivals and when radio stations do their 'playlists'. This is just a total shambles for equality and can be seen as sexist, especially when a certain festival rhyming with Bedding and Beads books an incredibly small amount of acts including a female - let alone female vocalists. I'm a guy and can't stand it that in 2018 sexism exists still, especially in the music industry when people write about their deepest feelings and express them to all.
