Danny Suede shares the sun-kissed new tune, "shadows on the pavement"

Bursting out from Spokane, United States, is Danny Suede, who has recently released his new track titled "shadows on the pavement". The new offering from the American singer-songwriter has already shot to the top of his most popular songs on Spotify, and I can easily tell why from the very first minute. ... a shimmering, uplifting slice of bedroom pop that feels made for sunny days. The opening sequence of the song is a delicate balance of acoustic guitar mixed with his serene vocals and a dash of electronic pulses just to get you all warmed up. For me, the fusion of bedroom pop and alternative pop sounds reminded me of an early Ed Sheeran as he was about to take over the British music scene. With that in mind, it sounds like Danny is also going in that direction. It is such an uplifting track and has brilliant shimmering moments that make this an unmistakably top pick for your Sunkissed playlists. He is an artist who is on the rise, so be sure to listen to him as soon as you...

RISE returns with the moving new track, "Talking To Your Ghost Again"

Liverpool-based rock band RISE is back, and they have delivered a deeply moving and personal statement with "Talking To Your Ghost Again". ... a deeply moving, prog-tinged rock tribute packed with soaring vocal harmonies and heartfelt emotion. The new song is a tribute to the late singer Steve Kinley, and right from the outset, you can hear that the song is very emotional. The harmonies on this are incredibly strong, and you can easily hear the guest vocalist stayMellow shining high here, with the tones weaving perfectly amongst the prog rock sounds. It's quite nostalgic in places and has incredibly soaring moments that will elevate you out of your chair and deep within the track's belly. The song is a mark of remembrance that honours a loss like no other. If you like the emotive sound of this offering, then be sure to check out their previous releases; my personal favourite was the retro-sounding "Here I Am". Want us to hear your music? Riri Rose shares her second-ever track, "I Don't Want That Colour"

Hailing from Lincoln, England, is Riri Rose, and this rising singer-songwriter has released her brand new single, "I Don't Want That Colour". The new song is her second since she started releasing music earlier this year and is a three-minute alt-pop song with plenty of retro sounds surrounding it. ... an epic, radio-ready alt-pop track loaded with soaring guitars, retro charm, and vast potential. Her vocals on this are stunning, reminding me almost of The Big Moon and Wolf Alice, with a delicate amount of indie rock sensibilities helping to drive home her sound. This new single is a glimpse into her debut album, and it showcases her ability to bring together soaring guitars and epic vocals into a song that is perfect for the radio. She is no doubt a rising act. Even though she is two songs into her career, we feel like she has all the hallmarks to go the distance and can eventually tour the UK, potentially even further. If there was an artist that we'd like to keep a...

heavyskint drop their belter of a track, "Headstone"

Glasgow, Scotland risers heavyskint deliver a fierce, atmospheric punch with their fourth single, "Headstone". As soon as I saw this track land in my inbox, I knew that I was going to be enjoying it. Even though it was released just a week ago, I probably feel like I am responsible for a good percentage of the overall plays on Spotify. They are one of the most exciting acts to come out of Scotland in the last few years, and they have been recently nominated for the Sound of Young Scotland award, which, to me, is no surprise. ... a fierce, post-punk-infused indie rock power trip packed with 90s guitar grit and soundtrack-ready swagger. We've previously had them on the website, and if you are new to them, they are a five-piece that blends together alt-rock sounds with a strong amount of post-punk revival grit, with a dash of 90s guitars. You could almost put them into that early- to mid-2000s indie rock scene and they would not be out of place. This is yet another string to...

Tillerman returns with the brilliant new single, "Reputation"

Coming out of Leeds, England, indie rock outfit Tillerman has recently revealed their sun-kissed new track, "Reputation". You can easily hear the Yorkshire accent here. Considering most acts these days tend to hide behind a rather generic Atlantic singing voice, it's really refreshing to hear that they are keeping true to themselves. ... a sun-kissed, 90s-inspired Britpop gem packed with huge choruses and authentic Yorkshire charm. This new single is rooted in 90s Britpop, but it also has a delicate mix of mid-2000s indie rock about it, almost like Oasis and The Kooks have decided to form a superband. It's got that sort of broad appeal. The whole track is anchored by melodic hooks, big choruses, and charming vocals that you could easily be shouting back to the band within just a couple of plays. The track is all about how fast rumours spiral out of control in the digital age. Which I remember when social media first started getting big and a couple of close friends of...

The Kellows drops the ambitious new tune, "How Many Signs"

The Sheffield-based band The Kellows return with "How Many Signs", with this new song showcasing how ambitious the quartet truly are. It's a very melodic indie rock anthem that truly showcases all of their talents. ... a melodic, timeless UK indie rock anthem that proves The Kellows are a rising force built to go the distance. It's a bit more of a laid-back affair, with this one not being so frantic, but it absolutely highlights that the band really do shine when the tempo is slightly lower. We need to stop comparing them to bands from their home city, as they are rapidly turning into a band that others will soon be influenced by. It's such a charging track, with the vocals being one of the most prominent features, alongside driving guitars and a punching backline that will certainly hook you from the get-go. To me, this sounds like the kind of track that listeners of Radio X would absolutely love. With the likes of BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, and multiple online sites...

Jasmith shares his new track, "Fader Zero"

Coming out with his fourth release since he started dropping music is Singapore-based artist Jasmith. The new track is titled "Faded Zero" and showcases a slick blend of electropop with some synth elements that is sure to get you hooked into the track within the first minute. ... a punchy, 90s-infused electropop anthem that delivers pure resilience through intricate synthcraft. There's plenty of bite within the track, and you can easily hear the details within his empowering message of resilience after receiving setbacks and bouncing back after them. To me, it's got a big 90s vibe underlining it all and is certainly a track that is going to sit perfectly alongside the big hitters from that era. Myself not being based in Singapore, I obviously won't be able to see him live any time soon. But if you are within the city-state, then be sure to check out his listings, as this could be quite the song to check out live (as it's so intricate and so emotive). Want us t...

Mark Fojo shares his new song, "How Many Heartbeats"

Lake Mary, Florida-based indie pop artist Mark Fojo has returned with his second track of the year. The emotionally charged new track is titled "How Many Heartbeats," and it blends Christian pop sensibilities with melodic moments. ... a cinematic, late-90s-infused indie pop ballad brimming with emotional depth and radio-ready charm. You can really hear his vocals shine through on the track, with a delicate blend of cinematic strings mixed in with some late-90s pop charm. This latest release comes in as his sixth single since releasing solo tracks, and it sounds like the kind of track that can grip new listeners. It also suggests that he is looking to break into the international scene. It's incredible. Radio-friendly, it sounds. If you are looking for a melodic ballad that confronts loneliness with thought-provoking lyrics, then be sure to give "How Many Heartbeats" a listen. If you want to listen to more stunning songs like this, then be sure to check them out ...

Firefly Search Party returns with their captivating new single, "Take A Look"

Hailing from Singapore, Firefly Search Party have unleashed their captivating alternative side on "Take A Look". One thing that struck me from the get-go is that they blend male and female vocals together. On the intro alone, I personally have to say that I was hooked into the track. ... a warm and charming blend of folk-tinged indie featuring irresistible dual vocals and authentic Americana flair. The delicate chimes gave way to some melodic vocals that led swiftly into the opening verse, and as soon as those guitars came in, it felt almost Americana at times. The track is very much leaning towards the folk side of things and is built upon a rich sound that certainly invites listeners to get all curious. It's very authentic, I must say, with an underlying warmth that will have you checking out their previous tracks. Since they've been releasing music since 2019, they've certainly refined this, and the last few singles, including this, have showcased that they ar...

Puddler unleashes their epic new cut, "melt"

Based out of Victoria, Canada, three-piece alt-rock outfit Puddler unleashes a thrilling wave of Pacific Northwest guitar energy on their new single, "Melt". The new song is lifted from the forthcoming album Learning to Die, and right from the get-go you could easily hear that 90s grunge influence on it (with the opening guitar sequence alone reminding me a lot of Nirvana). ... a thrilling blend of gritty 90s grunge and noisy shoegaze dexterity that hits with maximum impact. With plenty of blown-out guitars amongst those grunge tones, it has a decent amount of shoegaze dexterity about it, giving it plenty of depth and bite. Even though the track is just over 2.5 minutes long, it is certainly going to be lingering in your head well after it's finished. It is so melodic, so gritty, and has lots of noisy moments that will have your head in a spin, in a good way. Be sure to stick this on as soon as you are done reading this, and be sure to check out their debut single while y...
