After Scuicide's Alan Vega sadly passed away late last week, Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser of MGMT have shared a version of Alan's "Goodbye Darling", which originally featured on the musician’s 1983 album "Saturn Strip".

Leeds, England trio Moose Wrench return with their new single, "Dead Stars". The single is a re-recording of their 2021 single and features very much the same vocal structure as its predecessor. However, this time around, the track sounds far more psychedelic and noisy. ... a mind-bending alt-rock explosion where psychedelic chaos, heavy riffs and indie energy collide. I personally loved those deep and brooding vocals on the track, but my real love came from the guitar riffs that are layered within the song. It's got this fusion of sounds that range from alt-rock to math-rock, prog, punk and, obviously, psychedelic, with them all coming together in one absolute eargasm of noise. The final minute of the song is an absolute flurry of one genre: indie rock. Ben Heyworth reveals the bold new track, "Image of Roads (Montana Mix)"

Ben Heyworth yesterday shared his first single of the year, "Image of Roads (Montana Mix)" is that track, and it also acts as just his fourth-ever solo cut, but when you hear it you may be forgiven in thinking that he's already toured the UK. ... a soulful, swagger-filled alt-rock track with Britrock grit, anthemic hooks, and a killer guitar solo that belies his early solo discography. The new cut from the Manchester songwriter is a smooth blend of some soulful guitars, 90s alt-rock with a swagger-filled vocal tone that can easily grip you from the first line. It's quite anthemic and atmospheric in places too, and when the chorus comes in, it becomes a bit more gritty with some Britrock tones mixed in with a modern sheen. Land Mass drops their stunning debut release, "Fading EP"

Hailing from his East London flat, solo artist Greg Zucker delivers the Fading EP under the moniker Land Mass. The EP release doubles up as the first-ever release of any sort under the name Land Mass, and you are greeted with the opener titled "Green Parakeet". It's a very melodic and moving track, focusing a lot on his vocals and a moody acoustic guitar, before you are greeted with a bursting, almost Brit rock guitar at the 40-second point. ... a stunning debut with a genre-spanning EP packed with moody vocals, soaring guitars, and memorable melodies. Following on from the leading track is the really fast-paced offering titled "Trojan Horses". It's a clear-cut winner for me and is a solid indie rock cut with moody vocals and high-toned guitars that fans of Interpol, Bloc Party, and Franz Ferdinand will all appreciate. London singer-songwriter Fiona Amaka brings a soulful edge to indie rock with "Cowards and Shadows". This single was originally released last year, but since we've been listening to her previous single "Justified", we've delved right back into her older tracks. This sounds like one of her standout cuts. ... a soulful and emotionally raw indie rock cut steeped in moody blues-rock tones. It's a very arty track with some moody blues-rock tones, all the while mixed in with her unmistakable vocal tones. There's a raw honesty with this track, with her expressive vocals and lots of heartfelt lyrics that focus on themes of betrayal, trust, and being ghosted.
